Belated Posts-Kids Sick

Two days ago Kylie was having high fever, in fact she was having fever for a few days ledi. But me busy ma, so LaundryApOh was helping out. Then Kieran started his cough again so we had to go back to new home as my maid left his puff medicine there!

So, dinner was simple, homemade pizza. As I was getting ready the pizza, had the maid to shower Kieran and he was screaming like as if he was being slaughtered due to leg pain. He was telling me his leg was very painful in the car but I didn't pay much attention.

I went about with my cooking, not realising that Kylie was sitting quietly by herself! (this is not normal, as she is not able to sit quietly by herself!) After putting the pizza in the oven, I walked out and finally noticed Kylie sitting down looking so miserable. Touched her forehead and it was burning!! Panic like mad and didn't think, checked her temperature which was 38deg + and quickly fed her paracetamol and then sponged her. After a while, I tested her temperature again and it went up to 40deg +!!! OMG! I was terrified as my place is far away from our usual paed! So I gave her a call to check if it's ok to give her the suppository since I've given her the paracetamol like just 15 minutes ago but she was busy with other patients. I never felt so desperate in my life (besides the time I was giving birth to Kieran). Finally I managed to talk to the doc and she advised me to get a stronger fever med from the pharmacy but I was like huh? Pharmacy in my area may not have a pharmacist on duty leh, it was like 9.15pm leow wor! So she told me there are 2 paeds clinics in my area and I immediately packed the kids in the car and sped off.

As I was driving I quickly called the a friend living in this area to ask him the exact location of the paed to avoid having to circle around looking for it but he didn't pick up. Called a second person (my customer) and she didn't pick up either! Grrrr..bet she was thinking I was calling to chase her for payment. So, no choice la, circled around and found one but it was like closed! *SCREAM!!!!!* Then went to look for the other and found the shutter down halfway! Ran in and almost begged on my knees for them to not close and see my girl first! The receptionist was not happy but she said ok after seeing the desperation in my face! They gave her the suppository and it was like magic, within a few minutes she was the same ol'hyper Kylie! Thank God! She had white spots in her throat pulak! So that explains the high fever.

Anyway, her fever subisded very fast after the medication the doc administered and she was her normal active self playing again. Then only I noticed Kieran was sobbing quietly. I then decided to let him see the doc too. All these while I didn't realise his pain was so serious until the doc showed me the wound and explained what could have happened. I felt so terrible, so I decided not to take the photo of his wound....so bad la me..sorry my darling...

And throughout this drama...where was Apah?? OverF^$&&g seas!

Why all come at the same time one?

Been very busy lately, but still must take time to read my fave blogs and do this post, if not friends lari kuat kuat lor! (run away fast fast). Had visitors from overseas since Saturday so have been out like morning to night, day work nite entertaining la! It was not bad and I did enjoy myself but then another visitor came from another country on Monday pulak! So got to entertain. Hubby has been away overseas at this time and will only be back this Wednesday, so kids have been with LaundryApOh.

Then Kylie was down with fever yesterday, and Kieran left his homework in my office and this really stressed ApOh out but I can't do anything cos I was stuck at the seminar ma. Then I promised to pick Kieran up from school at least so I can see him and Kylie before I go out again.

Me-Mummy got to go out again tonight..

K-Huh..againnnnn????

Me-Yes darling, mummy got to go dinner with uncle who makes the washing machines for mummy to sell

K-Who is he? Why?

Me-You got to be good boy ok, please do your homework yourself

K-hmmph....(sulking behind)

Upon reaching home, I rushed in to freshen up a bit and got the maids to remove the stuff from my car and upon going back to the car, I heard a sobbing sound...

K-(crouched in the front seat floor & holding on to my mobile) Daddy!!!....wail... Daddy!!! wail.......Daddy!! Come backkk.....wail.....sob...sob...

Me-Kieran! Why you use my phone again?? (very angry cos he used my phone to call his friend's father's phone last week!) Give it back to me!

Ok sorry la, he was like wailing like so "chi leong" (pathetic) liddat but I still scolded him. After I got in the car, I felt sorry for him cos both parents were not around for the past few days and he was under lots of pressure in school....

Sigh....Anyway, here's a Mandarin song he learned in school, not bad for a blur blur boy!

Sticky Kid

This is the daily scene when I was busy and maid was also busy and kor kor was busy doing homework, so? Nobody layan her la! Quite annoying lor. She can't play on her own and must disturb people one. When she disturbs kor kor, kor kor will use the ruler and hit her hands...ouch! Wuahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

Then she will attempt to come and climb on my chair and I will of course shoo her off cos she will attempt to lick the cookie dough and grab some into her mouth! Yerrrrrr.......

And she has been refusing her night milk and will not sleep until I sleep, so yesterday I only finished baking about midnight, so she also waited till then la, everywhere I went she followed, even when I went to toilet and showered also could not close the door! Sei mo???

Emotional Time

Yesterday was quite a gila night. As usual we rushed like mad to reach home to cook dinner and Apah picked up Kieran from school. When they came back I saw both of them chewing something in their mouth and there was a guilty look on Kieran's face. Of course Amah question la, but he kept avoiding me and finally I asked Apah. He cooly told me, it was just Mentos. WHAT?!?!?! I told him so many times, cannot give anything sweet or anything for that matter to the boy before meal time.

Well, mothers know best, as expected, he was not eating his dinner properly, playing with his food as usual, didn't finish the rice and vegetable. I forced him to finish the vege and at the same time scolded Apah again for feeding him the mentos. Apah actually was very stressed with his work yesterday, already not very happy so lost his cool and let go on Kieran blaming him for my scolding. So he shoved him upstairs to start doing his homework and must have given him very harsh words too. Then he came down saying the boy was sobbing upstairs.

Amah already can't be bothered leow, cos busy baking my cookies. Then Apah had to leave as he haven't packed his bag for his Singapore trip the next day, so got to go back to old place to pack and besides, getting picked up from old place is more convenient for the cabby. Kieran suddenly appeared on the stairs wailing.......apah of course heart softened la...and went to carry him.

Pacified him but he was still sobbing with the vege inside his mouth, so as usual, crying causes him to cough and then..ta da..VOMIT! Vomit on the floor like not enough, and then the maid ushered him into the bathroom and guess where he continued throwing out his food? In the basin! This maid really damn stupid or what, I already told her so many times cannot vomit in the basin, well of course blocked la! I made her clear the 'S' trap and clean the pipe, if not for this small thing I got to call a plumber ah?

But during this drama, Amah just move the mouth to scold, scold, nag, nag and instruct etc etc..cos my hands were busy ma!

Thank You & Update on Kieran

I would like to thank all well wishers and Apah for his be-early present and also a surprise bouquet of flowers he had sent to my office. Ok, the present was expected, since he was going to be away, the flowers came as a surprise but after knowing who delivered them, it was like cheh......Anyway, it was still very sweet of him la....pssstt...Apah hardly buy flowers for me, if I ever received flowers, means he screwed up bad!! kakakakakkaa....

It was a quiet birthday, ate dinner at mom's place. Aiya, celebrated last week ledi ma...thanks to Oscar Mommy & gang!

Update on Kieran

Ok, my patience level with him has really been tested maximum ledi. I really cannot tahan anymore. Firstly, the stress of sending and bringing him back from school like not enough, to coach and guide him to finish his homework is the major test!

Since Apah is not around, for the past few days it's been me helping him with the work. It's not that he's not bright at all, just soooo lazy. Reminds me of my maid now! I kept telling him,

Me-Do you want to be like kakak?

K-No..

Me-Then you must concentrate and think!

K-??? looking at me blankly

Well weyo? Doing maths with him really can vomit blood one. The maths he's doing now is like a repetition from kindy standard only, but he's like so totally blur and refused to think at all. When I prompt him for the answer, he just tembak (simply guess) the answer, like what's the difference between 2 & 1, he will like just stare into la la land and just simply guess one answer! Ayoooo...tuition teacher will only start classes in February...I know it's like a few more days but still, it's disheartening to find out how slow he is, and also he couldn't even complete copying what he's supposed to copy from the whiteboard! He couldn't complete copying the homework for Monday and guessed what he did? He asked his friend to complete it for him on Tuesday!!! Die or not????

Clubbing & Kylie's Update

Ya ya..the title like so contrasting, clubbing mother..tsk tsk...bad example...no lar..I don't do this all the time ok, only when Piggyhoo comes back for holiday...otherwise who will go with me leh..


Last Saturday Amah went clubbing with Piggyhoo. We went to this club called Luna Bar located on the 34th floor of Menara Pan Global. Wah...it was an eye opener for Amah, cos that place was like fuiyoh, so cantik (beautiful) ok. It was sort of open concept, the bar surrounding the swimming pool (facilities for the Pacific Regency Suite Service Apartments). The window seats were all booked so we didn't get to sit there. The window seats are like so romantic ok, with full window view of KL. Our table is next to the pool with a view of KLCC but because of the angle we didn't get the view of the twin towers. It was a rainy Saturday so the club was faily quiet. There is also a floor above with better view but that place is always booked in advance.

Since there were only two of us, it was kinda boring after a while. The food they served was not good and kinda burnt too. When we complained and asked them to change they came back after a while and told us it's standard! Just because they have a nice location they can serve yucky food! What a spoiler! We left early and didn't bother to go to another club as it was pouring...

Kylie's Update

Last Friday we went back to old place to sleep and Kylie goes back to her cot. But to our horrors, in the middle of the night she was standing next to our bed staring into Apah's face and said this,

K-Eh...

Apah-Amah wake up! Kylie got out of the cot herself!

Amah-huh......WHAT??!!??

Turned on the light and then put her back inside the cot. She cried a while but then she demonstrated how she got out again! She put up one leg then pushed herself up and while hanging on the railing, she stretched out her arms to the bed railing on Kieran's bed andslipped over! Tada! Terror or not???

It's been very difficult to get her to sleep also. When I start singing this, "Baby baby go to sleep..." She will shake her head and say, "No no.." Oh God help me for the next 3 nights as Apah is away in Singapore!

Getting New House Ready

We have been staying a few nights a week at our new home to start assembling the furnitures and also testing the pipes la. Below is Apah trying to fix the rainbow thingy and Kylie sitting on the platform on my room where the bed is.

Kieran on top of his queen size bunk bed! We took quite some time to psyche him to agree to sleep up there but he's not able to sleep there yet cos mummy haven't bought a new door for the room yet!! So at the mean time, all sleep in mummy's room!

Kylie's bed is below the bunk bed together with the desk. The room size is just big enough to fit this bed and the space available is very limited!

Backdated Post

This was the final part of Kieran’s school holiday activities last year thanks to LaundryApah of course! Well, Amah was MIA ma…so daddy brought son around lor.

When I was in HK, daddy brought Kieran to the Curve to see Santa and also for the Scooby Doo show. Kieran was terrified of Santa and Scooby but of course dare not own up to it, Daddy could tell he was afraid as he refused to take photos with Santa or Scooby. However, after much coaxing and reassurance, he finally took a photo with Santa! We knew that this rascal is all soft inside, really, cos the last time when LaundryApOh took him to MidValley to take photo with Winnie the Pooh, they were queuing for so long and when it’s almost their turn, he started making excuses like he needs to go to the bathroon la, etc etc…

On another day, daddy took him to the Bird Park. The last time he went was with his cousin a couple of years ago, I think when he was around 3 years plus. The photo on the left was the last time and the photo on the right was this time. You can see the difference in the expression, what a difference, he was really terrified the last time but he pretended to be macho in front of his cousin. This time, he was more confident! Boy. My boy has grown….




He had fun at the playground too and they ended the day at One Utama and continued playing at the indoor playground. Due to our living arrangements at the moment, Kieran hardly has the opportunity to play in the parks/playgrounds. Well, you can say he’s pretty deprived. We feel kinda bad, so very soon we are moving to our new home but he will only have weekends since he’s studying in the afternoon session, by the time he reaches home, it’s too dark!

Pssst..you may wonder, what happened to Kylie, well Daddy cannot take her along as she’s always acting up after a while whenever we bring her out, so daddy can’t handle that! Really boooo to Daddy on that part! Poor Kylie…..

Kieran's 1st Day at School

Yesterday was a long day as it was Kieran's first day at school and also piano class. Went to piano class at 10 am and then we went for an early lunch near the school. Had a good chat with Kieran and reminded him not to take money from his friends again. I made sure he had enough food and drink plus tissue too!

Since I was quite early, we managed to get a good parking but it was a MPPJ parking, so had to pay la. Nevermind la cos I didn't want to get caught in the school jam. But the parking is very close to the school so it's not bad.

Look at how happy he is, didn't show any signs of nervousness at all, aiya, shouldn't also la, since he's been to the school for 3 weeks last year for the extra classes. Anyway here are some pictures.



Went with Apah to pick him up as I foresee all hell will break loose for the traffic situation. And yes it was as expected quite bad and it was drizzling a little. Apah went to get him while I drove. Here's photo of the jam...

Was supposed to send him for a haircut the day before but Amah was too lazy and glued to the tv watching Korean drama. So took him for the haircut while Apah shopped at the pasar malam.

At dinner, Apah said Kieran bought Vitagen in school. I blew up, of course la, cos I made sure he didn't bring any money to school. This time he took money from a church friend. I was so mad I went berserk. He said he didn't take the money, the friend gave him the money to buy the vitagen and they shared the drink. That's not the point, the point was he disobeyed me again! Just because practically everyone bought things in the canteen he also was pressured to do so. I want to maintain not allowing him to succumb to peer pressure cos I can see the pressure to get Playstation and then handphone and God knows what coming in the near future! I really give up la..when talking to him, he was like an angel and able to answer the questions I posted to him to make sure he understood my intention and the next thing he did was to take again...WHY?? WHY?? WHY??

Kids not well

Aiya, just when I'm about to go off for a holiday and there are full activities this weekend, the kids are not well. Actually, both kids have been wheezing for quite some time. Both also haven't fully recovered.

Then last night while I was planning my holiday, Apah called to say Kylie was down with fever. Ayo...so this morning I took her to paed and she said at least her wheezing has stopped and she should be having an infection cos the inside of her nose is reddish. She suspects a running nose episode to come up. Sigh, my poor lil princess has been in and out of paed since the day she was born leh..not only for jabs! That's why eventhough she eats a lot she's still like so tiny!

As for the boy, since his pneumonia episode last year, he's also been having this wheezing problem off and on. So penat (tired) la...the paed also almost running out of ideas to treat him. Any ideas on chinese medicines??? My sis-in-law's mom who operates a ginseng and chinese herb shop recommended to boil dried crocodile meat with herbs for him. It's like quite gross lor but if it can cure why not leh?? Any ideas??

How to Discipline this son of mine?

I was about to post my final episode of Milan but my mom called yet again about how menacing Kieran was after ..(I lost count how many times she called). She picked him up from school today as I was super busy with work and I had to send the maids to the agency to get a good whacking from the agent as they cooked up some cock and bull stories and wanted to go home before their contracts end. So can you imagine what kind of stressed has built up in my system at that time?? It was like going to explode ledi!

So I rushed home and even before I could enter the house I can hear my mom yadda yadda bla bla your son so disobedient…refuse to listen, fighting in school etc etc etc. I quickly grabbed the cane from my car (yes I keep a cane in the car!) and went straight upstairs. Upon seeing the look on my face, my mom panicked and quickly said that Kieran’s in the shower, wait…But I can’t wait as I was fuming! Went straight to the shower, yes I caned him and I think this was the hardest that I’ve caned him. I was screaming on top of my lungs as I guess he apparently did not get the message when I grounded him since the money incident!

I was so so so disappointed and sad with his behaviour. I really do not know how to teach him as each time after I talked to him, he seems to understand why he was being punished and that he should not repeat the mistake again, but yet again and again, he misbehaves. I really need help now, should I find a child councillor or child psychologist?? Really I’m at wits end now…I really do not want to go on with this shouting and caning session as I know it’s so unhealthy for both of us and I pity the neighbours also la! So how???????

Anyway apart from that, my mom found a peeled and cut cucumber in her maid’s bag! WTF is it in her bag and the shape was like ah hem..and when confronted she pulled an innocent face and said I don’t know why it’s in there..DUH!!!! Harroooooo..we were not born yesterday!! How disgusting can these maids get????

Kieran's Bday Party

LaundryApah said this year will be the last birthday party for Kieran. But then again.. I love birthday parties! See how it goes...

This year I chose the church as we had a charity bazaar the same day I planned to hold his party and I thought it would be a good idea since I can tumpang (enjoy) the free clown and slides etc. But the moment the I turned into the road that leads to the church, I immediately regretted! There were cars lined up on both sides of the road and it's still a long way to the church leh!

I think it was a working Saturday, there was another church on the same road and also a warehouse sale going on! Warao! I dropped the cake and stuff plus a wailing baby with the maid and went out to find a carpark. I parked like a zillion miles away and walked like mad back to the church. As I was walking, I was like thinking oh no...what about my guests?? I was then glad that a lot them couldn't make it and there were a few others whom I FORGOT to invite (yes they are now thanking their lucky stars that I forgot them!) I quickly smsed those who were coming to warn them about the parking problem.

When I reached the church, I noticed the place which they reserved for me was occupied with people. Hmm..where was the organiser? Alamak, it was crowded like mad ok, but after a while I bumped into the organiser and managed to get hold of the person who was supposed to assist me. She was very helpful, helped me with the food and drinks also.

I was so happy that Angeleyes managed to make it to the party thanks to Oscar's mom of course for giving her a lift. Unfortunately the party was getting a bit out of hand due to lack of planning from this lazy Amah! However, the clowns were great and very entertaining. I really enjoyed them very much, I think more than some of the kids!




Noticed the Thomas the Engine cake? I ordered from the contact Allyfeel gave me. It was really very beautiful and at a very reasonable price I reckon. The taste was so-so but I was sure the kids appreciated the look more than the taste.

Below are the gifts Kieran received. Thank you everyone for the wonderful and very practical and useful gifts! Kieran was especially delighted with the mini toy computer that his grandfather gave him. He played with it immediately upon opening it! Kylie too was attracted to the computer as it produced songs! However, kor-kor was not too pleased with that and kept shouting at her and shoo-ing her away!

18 month update on Kylie

Firstly apologies to those trying to leave their comments but blogspot decided to give us beta bloggers another round of headache, the word verification just doesn't turn up! Solly ah...

Yes Milan Part XX forgot leow..have to be put on hold because "someone borrowed" or rather took my laptop without asking me...so have to wait la!

Took Kylie to the paed yesterday (a long overdue visit but due to my very very busy schedule and paed opening hours..just couldn't make it) and her cough and cold has become more and more serious..meaning it didn't get well since the day I left for Milan or was it before??? Yes it was before but my mom took her to the paed the day I was away but after the medication she's still like coughing coughing and the mucus from her nose was like green green liddat leh! Yucks!

The paed said she was wheezing, not good at all and had to start her on a round of antibiotics and also the puff! Ayo...and of course the bill came up to a whopper but thank God that is claimable from Apah's company. But the bill is not important...it's Kylie's wellbeing. Ayo don't tell me she has weak lungs like her ko ko..sked la. She's not very cooperative when it comes to medicines. The puff thingy was difficult too cos she doesn't understand when we tell her to breathe in and out..double ayo..

Anyway, here are some positive updates:

Weight - Kinda up and down from 9.8 kg to 10kg to 9.8kg now..eat so much no change due to her hyperactiveness I guess!

Height-78.2cm..warao the growth like 2 cm nya from July leh! So little wan....sob sob..

Emotions and Character

A politician even before she can talk! Knows how to ambil hati of the right person at the right moment! Especially me and my mom. That day I was so angry with her I was about to whack whack her leow and then u know what she did?????? She put up the cutest look, sat on my lap and rested her head on my shoulder and looked up with a pout and blinked blinked liddat! Wah...me melted of course la!!!!

Language

She still cannot talk, only the same words, like mum-mum (eat), nen-nen(milk) etc..only latest word was Ah Poh, only because the maid was repeating that word non-stop with her! The maid oso very clever trying to buy Ah Poh's heart huh....

Since she can't talk I have taught her to point to things la..and she can do it quite well, the latest one was tummy and head.

Remember she used to do the lion roar..hahaha...she does that to other animals too! Only monkey is different!

No matter how naughty she can get...I still love her to pieces....and cannot stop kissing her! Muaks my lil darling!!!!!!!!!!!

Mad Day!

Milan Part 5 will have to be put on hold for this. Weyo mad day?? I didn't realise that Kieran's holiday 2-week program starts today at his new primary school until LaundryApah called me about 8.30am this morning. We were supposed to be getting Kieran ready for Vacation Bible School (VBS) at the church! (Nov20-22) So have to go to school instead of VBS.

Rushed out as I had to buy his school uniform first but Professor in SS2 is not opened yet! Sei ler...aiya nevermind la..go and register first. Good thing they were selling uniforms in the school so fast fast buy one pair first. Made him take out his clothes there and then to change which he was not too pleased! hahahaha..

Then searched for his classroom, scaned thru the lists on the board without looking properly (cos the lists have indicated the classroom which he has already been allocated earlier during the registration) so..panic la..missed out his name but then I realised the class ID and found his name..phew! Quickly rushed him to the class and apologised to the teacher. Immediately teacher said, "RM14 please for this.." It was a folder containing the books for this 2 weeks! Btw, these 2 weeks cost RM80. $$$$...no difference from private school!

Then went to get his school books, must as well since I was there. Of course there's a long queue...Total costs of books RM132.70 and sports t-shirt RM7.50 but I forgot to buy his pants! Later la. Drove out to Professor again, and guess how much the uniform costs nowadays?? Unbelievable......RM28+ for the shorts and RM25+ for the shirt!

Got to know 2 mothers while waiting for Kieran and then saw my old classmate from Secondary school, her daughter in the same class as Kieran! What a small small world...

Look at him in his uniform....ayooooo I really cannot believe it la..time flies!! He said class was fun eventhough half the time he didn't understand the teacher! He kept saying, he was good and didn't get the cane! hahahahaa...(cos me scared him ma..Chinese school teacher will cane him when he's not good!)


Tomorrow got to miss class cos VBS is taking them to Aquaria la...so told the teacher and she's ok with it..phew.....

Children's Day

Kieran's kindy celebrated Children's Day today. Each year they have a theme. Last year I dressed him up as a tiger (actually won a prize!) and this year it was the Wild Wild West theme. As usual, this Amah very last minute, went shopping for things to make his Red Indian Suit. It's quite sad looking but at least I gave it a try and put in some effort la...(that's why didn't win lor..When I saw one kid coming in wearing a cactus, I knew that's it..no chance! Wow so creative!

Made his plaits with yarn (he kept complaining that I was making him into a girl and his friends would laugh at him!) and feathered headdress. I sewed the frillies on the vest and on the side of his jeans. Was too lazy to make the bow and arrows....too bad..

Kids with the Dog

We adopted a dog called Duke from a friend quite some time ago despite protests from LaundryApah but I thought it was good for the kids. But we had to leave the dog at mom's place as she was complaining of cats coming into her compound. It was a Labrador Retriever and was quite a looker. Unfortunately, to our dismay he was the most disobedient dog we ever reared! So we had to keep him locked up at all times at the backyard.

Initially, Kieran was terrified of him but slowly he got used to him and found that Duke was very gentle and tame. Kylie of course knows no fear and she loves to go near and "talk" to him, just like this, "woo woo woo..." We haven't been taking good care of him and this type of dog needs company and lots of tender loving care. Will try to spend more time with him..

Seeing Double

Everybody comments that Kylie looks exactly like Kieran when he was her age, I reckon also. In fact both also had the same condition called Torticollis but Kylie's case was not so bad as she was a smaller baby. I thought that there was something wrong with the shape of my uterus which caused this condition but my gynae assured me it has nothing to do with it as it was of a normal size and shape! Phew..

Anyway, just now my maid dressed Kylie in Kieran's old Winnie the Pooh suit so I took the opportunity to take a picture for comparison sake. Can you guess who is who?

Just another day....

I used to brag about Kieran being able to sit in his car seat since he was a baby. But now I can't say the same for Kylie. She's so fussy and she can't sit still, emm..maybe for first 10 minutes of the ride with all of us in the car trying our very best entertaining her. When we run out of ideas, this happens....

I have tried scolding, giving her toys etc and now I keep a cane in the car but she just wails and wails and wails....pening la..summore stress being on the road itself having to meet bozo drivers all the time.

Whiningitis Major

We are now talking about Kieran, he's at 4th stage Whiningitis, in fact it's like incurable..scary or not? He whines most of the time especially about food. I am almost at wits end when it comes to feeding times. I try to starve him but he curi curi makan (eats behind my back) junk food before meal times. But the only time he eats well is when I cook spaghetti or eat out at his favourite restaurant! Actually, he just hates Chinese cooking and especially rice. So, that explains the skin and bones and how he can squeeze in the green rocking thingy! Following is a photo of him whining about something with LaundryApah. He was actually pulling daddy's legs and didn't allow him to walk off!

Playdough Recipe

Thot of sharing the playdough recipe since Zara Mama asked for it...

1 cup flour

1/2 cup salt

2 teaspoon cream of tartar (cannot omit according to person who gave this recipe)

1 tablespoon cooking oil

3/4 - 1 cup water (drop 1 - 2 drops food colouring inside)

1. Mix dry ingredients in sausepan/pot
2. Add water and oil into the dry ingredients
3. Cook on stove on medium heat and stir constantly (like less than a minute it kinda forms ledi)
4. When it feels stiff like mashed potato, take it out and knead for about 2 minutes
5. Store in container when finished playing.

Note: If the dough kinda sticks to hands or table, just add plain flour.

Painting

Thanks to ideas from Jazzmint & Zara's Mama, I made some paint using food colouring mixed in slightly heated cornflour solution (to thicken the solution and make it look like the normal water colour paint). Wah those food colouring dun play play ah..sticks to the skin and takes at least a few washes before coming off one...especially green colour. So be wary of greenish looking foodstuff! Since it stayed on my fingers, I thought better not risk the clothes la (even tho I have like terrer detergent to remove). Kylie didn't really have fun as she was suffering from constipation, and was really not her normal active & inquisitive self. Finally she dropped the bomb later that night and she was back to normal!

Play Doh

On another day, I made some playdough thanks to some online recipes. I actually surfed for a few to choose from. Very easy to do, I chose the cooked ones, but the smell was like so weird lor. But after it's ready it's ok. I made 3 colours first, knowing very well it will not last long cos I know my son has tendency to combine all the colours into one lor! Sure enough, he did it again the next day and the whole room was full of the pieces! Check out the "curry puff" I made! I don't know why each time I play with any type of dough, I sure shape it into a curry puff lor!

New Toy (New "Toilet"

Since Kylie was having so much fun with this rocking thingy (don't know what to call it la) at church so I decided to get one for the house. She only wanted to ride it only when kor kor goes for it. Then Kor kor went into hiding. Can you spot him in the photo?

He hid inside the rocking thingy at one time and we didn't know. Then he suddenly came out once the maid walked past and that gave her a scare! Can you imagine how skinny he is!
