4 hours sleep only!!

Ayo, weyo so little sleep? And summore today going to take family picture at the studio. They better put the makeup gau gau and photoshop to hide my panda eyes leh!

Ok, laundryamah occasionally takes back some stuff to wash one, like small small contracts la, just to get some pocket money and also for the sake of R & D with my various chemicals. So this time, me got back this stupid contract to wash some hideous looking polyester cloth. Yes they come in rolls of at least 50 yards and we have to unroll and then after the wash have to untangle it! The untangling job is the worst and I think my arms just grew bigger because of this! Well I have been leaving this job to my worker and of course he's been quite slow and always complaining, "It's not that easy you know...." so me also fed up la and the customer also very irritating, always asking us to finish the job faster cos they have to finish sewing those hideous looking shirts for CNY! Ok, may post the picture of the cloth when I have time.

Anyway, since my worker couldn't cope with the load, I passed on the last batch to my customer to help out. This customer is actually a centre for people with learning disabilities and they actually have a laundry washing towels for 2 hotels in town. I thought they could do with the extra business and they had a bigger and more efficient machine than mine in the store. Dim chi...after 2 days, they couldn't even finish half of the load I gave them! Ayo...ok ok..remember their workers have learning diabilities, so they were only used to fold towels! So otoke? Bring back and do myself la! What time was that? 5.30 pm already, so have to do myself the whole night la since worker have to go home ma! But of all days, yesterday have to go to relative's pre-wedding party so only came back at 11pm to start the washing.

But I must say, with only 1 pair of hands, I managed to do more load than my worker plus help from my maid! You see la, actually it's always better to do things myself one, but then again cannot la...die lor if everyday like that! Slept at 2 am but didn't really have a good one also as my mind was thinking of the remaining load...so woke up at 6 am to continue! Now waiting for a load to finish while writing this! See this amah, so tired also die die must blog! Sei moh??

More Discoveries

Today I went to return the RM1.00 to the boy and I was surprised this boy was not as bad as the previous one, in fact we had to prompt him in order to say yes that he gave Kieran the RM1.00. I did take notice of the boy who accused Kieran of stealing his money (20sen and I returned RM1.00 to him!), he as usual got excited and kept pointing his finger at Kieran. I really felt bad that this has to happen to my boy, but he has to learn.

After that I sent my car for service and while waiting for the mechanic I saw a friend waiting there too. We started talking about kids and schools and then I related my story to her. Her daughter used to study at the same school as Kieran when she was in Std.1 and she told me her daughter's (X) story was more bizarre! Her daughter's friend (Y) used to offer X food whenever she buys from the canteen. My friend also didn't give money to X. X innocently thinking that the friend indeed was being nice in offering the food/drink, she took it gladly unassumingly.

Then one day when my friend went to the school to collect X's report card, Y came up to her with a book of recordings of the times when she offered X food/drinks.

Y-Aunty, X owes me RM40.00

Xmom-What? How is that possible??

Y-Well I've been buying food and each time I gave X, it's recorded and now she owes me RM40.00!!

Xmom-Ok, I will return the money to you but RM1.00 per day and you are to sign in acknowledgement too.

My friend said she gave a good whacking to her daughter and made her return the RM1.00 each day as a reminder to never ever take any offers from anyone anymore.

Can you believe this actually happened? I was speechless ok! I mean, X & Y were only 7 years old when that happened ok! So later I will warn Kieran not to take anything from anyone, mana tahu (you never know) one kid come up with one buku 555 (tiny notebook) and claim dunno how much from me!

Today I Bad Mood

Warning..quite a long story ahead! Today was not really a good day. Firstly I realised that my intended bday party celebration for Kieran was this Saturday and I have not finished inviting the guests and also prepare for the party! Cake also belum order! Warao, and this morning I have to go to Kieran's school to sort out something, weyo???

I noticed yesterday Kieran came home from school with things that do not belong to him and also two packet of tissues which I didn't give to him. I immediately questioned him and he had this very guilty look. He said he bought the tissue. I know that's impossible as I didn't give him money. He's not ready to handle money as yet from the last excursion his kindy took them which was practising the use of money at the tuckshop in a primary school.

Me-Whose ruler is that (I know that ruler is not his cos it has Colin written on it la) and who gave you the money?

K-My friend

Me-Whose your friend & how much?

K-I don't know...

Me-(blowing up now...) You don't know who then why you take his ruler? Then who gave you the money??

K-I don't know...

Me-HOW MUCH??? (shouting!!)

K-20 sen

Me-20 sen? Are you sure?

K-errr...yes....and then I bought a drink

Me-(fuming mad by now) What? 20 sen can buy tissue and drink?

K-(looking really terrified and major guilty by now) Errr...no..another friend gave me money also

Me-Did you ask for the money or they gave you? Or did you STEAL??? (shouting leow)

K-Err..(eyes looked here and there...like side to side)No, my friend gave me RM1.00! Then I bought the drink.

Me-The tissues????

K-Errr...

Me-You are soooo dead...wait till you go home. You are also grounded. You know what that means?

K-No tv...no cartoon...no dvd...(looking down with very sad face)

So this morning I went to the school in search of his loan provider or victims of extortion! I asked him to identify the boy whom he took money from. He pointed to one.

Me-Hello, did you give Kieran money yesterday?

Boy-(pointed at Kieran) He stole my money!!

Me-Really? Where was your money when he stole it?

Boy-He stole my money! (Still pointing at Kieran) He asked me to give him money but I didn't give. He stole my money!

Me-So how much did he take?

Boy-RM1.00. He bought vitagen..he stole my money!

Me-Ok, here's the RM1.00, next time don't bring money to school ok? (My head spinning and I glared at Kieran with laser eyes and went to his class to talk to his teacher).

The teacher said she can't control the fact that the children bring money to school as they need to buy food and drinks. I was like, aiya why the parents give their kids money at such a young age leh..they really cannot grasp the concept yet ma. What do they know about money? They don't know how it's earned and the value of it. They just know they can buy the stuff from the shop without having to ask permission from parents! What freedom! I seriously am so against of giving money to Kieran as I have heard of how the the tuckshop sellers not returning the change to the children or selling more than what the children wanted or needed!

Then I had to do delivery after lunch, and while walking down the stairs I slipped and twisted my leg but thank God I didn't fall flat on the road! Oscar's mom was asking if I should go since I was like kinda shaky! I went la, work have to complete no matter what.

Then Oscar's mom messaged me and said that she had a good talk with Kieran and found out the whole truth about the money incident. Apparently, he took money from 2 different boys, one boy was RM1.00 and the other was 20 sen. I also returned the RM1.00 to the wrong boy! So I still have owing of RM1.00 to the other boy!

Oscar's mom made me realise that my son was too terrified of me and couldn't talk to me. I felt so guilty and thought maybe I was too hard on him. I really don't want to spoil him as I really cannot bear people branding him a spoilt brat. But then again, I was so heart sick and sad when I thought he actually stole money from his friend. It made me think I was a very bad mother, and wonder where did I go wrong in teaching and guiding him. Let this be a good lesson for me as I continue my struggle as a mom!

Therefore, I must thank God for giving me a gem of a friend plus excellent and efficient assistant in Oscar's mum! She's just amazing. I just left her the numbers and people to call and she kau tim for me! She even became my son's councillor despite her heavy work load in the office. Thanks a lot, as usual, I'm going to be mushy about this, you are really a great help and a good friend indeed and I want you to know how much I appreciate you! Yes YOU, Oscar's mom!

Sorry folks (you know who u r) for the late invitation, it's been really rough the past 2 weeks and I've been really really busy till I think I have short term memory problem! eg.forgetting the route to the resort room..and also the party!

Sleepy....

It's been some time since I last travelled from KLIA...yah it was since my last trip to China in 2003. So I actually was kinda blur when walking in the the departure hall. I actually walked into the lane for foreign passports! The officer said that since it's kinda quiet he'll let me go this time, if not he will "halau"..yup that's his exact word, "halau!" (chase away)

I am now waiting at the airport lounge and this stupid $%^& gate is right next to the smoking lounge so I'm now inhaling big time second hand smoke! Shiaks, what's the difference when they have a smoking lounge but it's not smoke proof??!!

Ayo..sleepy la and the stench of the 2nd hand smoke is not helping and I really hate it hate it hate it..cos now my clothes and hair is like absorbing the stench...yucks!

The line sucks and it's so slow...I can't surf much but still manage to put up this post!

Consumer rights??

Ok today after reading an email from a friend, I thought it's high time I tell everyone about this certain French hypermarket, and most of the time, the bad things happened at the one located at Mid Valley.

My experience:

  1. They advertised on National Newspaper about a certain product at a rate which was mindblowing low, so I asked Oscar's mom to get it for me since she was there but when the product was scanned, it was not the advertised price! She noticed another customer disputing with the cashier about it. What was the result, I don't know but I suspect the cashier will say I don't know.
  2. They have the yellow best deal price hanging above a certain product and when the product is scanned at the check out counter, it's again a higher price. When we question them, they said it was price for the day before! Liddat oso can!
I remember in Australia, if such price disputes occur at the check out counter, the product will be given free to the customer!

My friend's recent experience:

  • She was getting some dried apricots and halfway picking them, she saw a dead cockroach! She told the staff about it and walked off fast fast...yucks. But she did look back to see what the staff did. He just picked up the cockroach and put back the apricots which my friend picked. I know we can't expect much cleanliness in food handling outside but can't they put up a show in front of the customer by pretending to take the whole tub inside????
Ok not related to the above hypermarket incident but also about food outside.

Oscar's mom just told me that her grandfather once witnessed a rat slipped and fell inside a pot of barley which the restaurant was making. The person just picked up the rat and continued to sell the barley drink!!!

So, folks..dare to eat out or not?? Aiya, we can't be too careful also, but as long as I don't know and don't see what they do to the food and say my prayers before I eat...heck la!

Love Your Enemies??

Noticed today's verse of the day, "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."
Luke 6:27-28 (NIV)

Wah this command memang (really) very hard to follow. I can forgive but forget is another thing..then I was challenged with the fact that if I don't forget, have I really forgiven??

Why this is hard for me, not that I have a lot of enemies, just a lot of @#$!&! customers who take us for granted and then don't pay us what they owe us! All the good things we have done for them is easily forgotten but they will remember every single minute flaw that we do or sometimes didn't even do! Always complaining we are expensive bla bla bla..of course wat..cheap thing no good, good thing no cheap la! Aroso?

I don't know why my industry seems to be liddat. Cannot increase price (even though petrol increased price leading to increased gas price and then leading to increased plastics price. Nightmare didn't stop there cos electricity too increased like 30%) but always customer asking for discount lagi..My customers complain to me about their customers who scold them like they burnt their house liddat but it's only over a garment that was spoiled. Sometimes it's not even the fault of the washing, it's the garment that is so $^$&#@ hard to wash.

Really, It's so hard but once I felt that God was telling me like literally telling me that I should pray for this so & so customer of mine..I was like WHAT?? That #$%& customer wor? The one who claims he has no money to pay us but keeps opening outlet after outlet..and the wife like getting fatter and fatter until the insurance company also cannot insure her (classified obese)!! I was like, "God, please la...don't do this to me ok, I already very good, didn't curse them leow..weyo ask me to pray for them summore? Otoke??" But I know I must obey la...pray lor..but I think it was not sincere enough leh cos I've not settled with them yet, meaning they haven't paid lor! Shiaks!

As if not enough of torture, we have another customer now breathing down our necks. Well, they have stopped using our product but still keeping the pumps. Where can, the condition for installing the pumps was that they buy our products at least once a year. However, they have stopped buying since more than 2 years ago! But when I asked him nicely for the permission of taking back the pumps he said ok and when my staff went there he said no! Wah,,,make me vely vely angry amah ok!! (one furious woman!) But God is great, because the computer board of his washing machine is not functioning properly so I had the opportunity to bring back the part with an excuse of repairing it. Hah! Now, that's a lesson to learn for them, don't play-play Laundryamah cos she will not let them sleep in peace...now I will not return the board to them unless they allow us to take back our property or at least pay for them if they want to keep them! Am I being fair or not? Was I being vengeful? I don't know la..

My Life Just Shortened by 10 years

Kieran's Sports Day

Had to be there by 7.30 a.m so it was naturally havoc la, getting ready of a kid who's got this whiningitis problem and also a 14 month old so early is not easy leh. Lagi maid has to drive me up the wall by misplacing certain things which I need at that point of time! That took maybe 3 years off..

Chinatown
Then had to bring customer to get something from Petaling Street so took the opportunity to visit one vely vely old restaurant which my dad used to go very often when he was around. But to my dismay, it's not as happening as before. Weyo?

  • There were only like 3 - 4 tables of customers (used to be pack on Saturdays)
  • Staff look very dead, in fact some oredi deaded

  • Food not so good, the char siu that used to melt in your mouth was like rubber..

  • The loyal and regular customers are either deaded or going to be deaded

  • Since they upgraded and converted the road to pedestrians only, the roadside shops have expanded and kinda overshadowed the shops and hence the chance for new potential customers is very low

Sad lor cos this place bring back sweet memories of my dad.. :(

Salon
Usual hair done on Saturdays and couldn't catch a nap cos the blower goes like brrrrr and endless chatter in very loud Hokkien between the hairdresser and her visiting sister..

Sudden bout of energy
Thought I could catch a nap but no lor cos I asked the maid to bring something out from the fridge and she has no idea what I was talking about. Then I noticed that the fridge was so freaking dirty and packed to the max. Weyo?

  • I don't think maid has ever cleaned it since the day she came which was last November

  • I had enough ikan bilis to re-sell, packed in three different packages, maid obviously forgot about the older batch and asked me to buy new ones

  • So many expired food stuff that date back to as old as 2004! YUCKS!

  • Big containers taking up space when they are only like half or less full!

Aitelyu, this also I must handle then where got time to blog leh??

Dinnertime
Since we took like 2 friggin hours to clean the grimy fridge, we ran late in preparing dinner and lil princess is awake with no food prepared! Major stressed now. Asked hubby to help prepare the dishes for dinner, meaning, lay the table ler but guess what? He went to wash the dirty dishes in the sink! Ok fine, got the wrong message, told him off and guess what he did? He started washing some big noodle bowls..errrr...hello!! FOR WHAT?? We are having rice!!

Me - Hello! What are you doing?

Hubby - Get ready la

Me - What's the bowl for?

Hubby - I don't know..

Me - (Boiling by now, I think 90degs) What?!? Dishes, u know the usual dish we need for eating rice?? Helllloooooooooo...

Hubby - Say la! How I know and these bowls are like on the dining table ma..

Me - (If I had a weak heart, I would have had a heart attack by now) Then you could've asked what the bowls were for right??

Hubby - Mumbling and grumbling..

Me - I would have expected this from the maid but not from you who's educated and manager of bla bla bla...

Hubby - Kuhlmanhe! (ENOUGH!)

Me - (Would be pronounced deaded by now really....) Why do you keep arguing when it's so obvious that you are wrong??

Weyo?? Why can't men just admit that they are wrong one??

Asked her to make "yee mee" soup for lunch today, and guess what she made? She made the soup but boiled rice instead!!!!!!!! Can you beat that?? End up I had to help out and delayed feeding my lil hungry princess. Wah don't play play man, really cannot delay feeding her lor..dahsyat! She was making so much noise and we cannot delay putting food in her mouth cos she will marah!!!!!
